Hi I’m Kevin Cleary, DipWSET, FWS. I guess you could call me a culinary junkie since I have a slight obsession with wine and food. I’ve been a chef for over 25 years having owned, with my wife, two critically acclaimed Italian restaurants in Massachusetts and Vermont (both named L’Amante). In 2003 I got the wine bug and began my educational odyssey with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. This culminated with my earning the Diploma in 2010. Since then I’ve continued my wine education with the Wine Scholar Guild earning the French Wine Scholar and Master Level Certifications in Bordeaux, Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence. I am also a WSET Certified Educator and have been teaching the WSET courses through the Vermont Wine School since 2011. I’ve lived and traveled extensively in Italy as well as France, Spain and the US. When I’m not tasting, drinking or learning about wine and food you’ll find me on the golf course.
If you like wine and food this is the place for you. I’ll be posting regularly on a wide range of wine and food topics. There will be wine reviews, recipes, travel tips and lots of educational material for both the wine novice and expert.
Feel free to contact me with any wines, topics, recipes or destinations you would like to hear about.
